f' windows

5-10 years ago I'd never have believed that I'd be in the position I'm in right now. I want a Mac. I lust after a badass 15 inch widescreen powerbook. When I get home from work I don't want to see Windows. I don't want to be half way through reading a column on the net and have my computer lock up and have to reboot. I want my wife to be able to create professional photo books and movies without having to pull her hair out and give up. I want to get into digital modeling with Maya and do some of the programming projects I've been putting off because Windows XP service pack 2 destroyed my desktop and my laptop can't run for more than an hour without locking up.

The only thing stopping me from making the switch before has been alieved by Microsoft itself with the XBox. Thank you Microsoft for developing a little black box that plays games on my HD projector so that I can only use windows if I'm being paid to.

There is a slight snag though. I know if I buy a powerbook today that tomorrow they'll put out a G5 powerbook or a dual core powerbook for the current price point. There are so many rumors floating around about a new powerbook coming out that I have to make myself hold out just a little while longer.

Dave,

Come to the MAC dark side. The water is warm.

Yes Dave, come to the Mac side. It's a friendly, more stable interface. They just announced the "new" powerbooks, no G5, but a real fast G4.... mmmmm... Powerbook goodness. C'mon Dave, do it. You know you'll like it.
