This scares the hell out of me considering that I have a wireless network running in my house. The only protection I have running is NIC address filtering so that theoretically only my NIC cards can get on my network. The problem is that NIC addresses could be spoofed. I could of course use encryption and make it harder, but that adds what? 20 minutes to the amount of time it would take someone to get on my network wirelessly?
How long before people getting nailed for child porn start claiming that someone hacked their wireless LAN's and downloaded those pictures onto their computers? Adware / Virii have already been blamed successfully in court if I recall so why not wireless hacks? How long before they add new symbols for warchalking such as the "kiddie porn here" marking?
The scary thing is that if someone really wants to hijack your wireless LAN, they can and will no matter what protections you use.
